    About Huggies
Babies are active little explorers, and as moms, you want them to be as comfortable as possible. This is why we partnered with Huggies to help you keep your baby dry and happy.
"One of the best feelings in the world is when you hug a person you love, and they hug you back". If you are a mom, you comprehend this feeling like no one else can. Remember the first time you hugged your baby? Remember what it felt like? Ecstatic – that’s how I felt at that moment. Ever since that day, hugging my baby is the best part of my day.

I  hug my baby after he wakes up, I hug him after every breastfeeding session, and I hug him just because he looks so cute. I hug him after a fall, after a bath, after a play session, each time he throws a tantrum, I hug him at bedtime, and I hug him after he has slept. I have often heard that I am spoiling my baby, but for us, there is no such thing as too much kissing, too much hugging, too much cuddling or too much LOVE.

Here are reasons why I believe every mom must hug her child as much as she can right from her baby's birth:

    1. Because your child loves it

Your child has been in the womb for a long time. They recognise your touch and your voice. Remember how you placed your hand on your belly and spoke to them during your pregnancy? Your touch makes them feel safe and special now that they are out in the world.

    2. Because it soothes your baby

My baby was colicky since birth until he turned four months old. No home-remedy or medicine would calm him. The only way to soothe him was to hold him close to my heart. Gentle, loving touch is sure to calm a baby down and relieve them from pain.

    3. Because science agrees too

There are proven scientific benefits of touch on the baby's cognitive, physical, physiological and social development. Babies who are hugged by their caregivers are likely to sleep better, have stronger immunity, be calmer and show better growth patterns.

    4. Because it strengthens your bond

When my baby and I first met, we were strangers. But I have witnessed our bond strengthen each day. And, it's no more a one-sided love affair. He loves me as much as I love him. Embracing releases oxytocin – the love hormone –in the mother and the baby's body. I like to call it the happiness hormone as it makes my baby and me happy.

    5.  Because you need it too

Finally, I hug my baby because it's a necessity for me along with being an expression of love. Motherhood can be overwhelming. There are times when the daunting years of early motherhood have left me teary eyed. There have been times when I have lost my temper over cluster feed schedules. There have been rough days as a mom, and a loving hug from my baby is all this mommy needs to feel better.

Huggies has launched a video on the power of hugs, and it expresses a million emotions in a few seconds. The video delivers an important message of how hugs can benefit the baby's immunity, growth and development.

I have long been using Huggies diapers for my baby, and I love how soft and comfortable they are. This beautifully shot video only made me feel more nostalgic and brought back memories of that wonderful time when I hugged my baby for the first time.

There’s no denying the power of a hug in a mother and baby's life. Hugs can make everything better. Go on moms; hug as much as you can!

Its also teaches to show love through touch, In India, when we grow up, we don't hug our parents as we become conscious. However, it is a beautiful way to express love. Good blog!
