Arhann and Aayat, my most prized possessions!
Selecting these names for my tiny birds were not at all easy. It took me almost 6 months during my pregnancy to decide, and for Arhann, 3 more months post-pregnancy, as I wanted to keep his name as 'Armaan'. However, turns out 'Arhann' means *A king* and well, how appropriate can that name be, huh? The little one definitely lives his life king size, already. Maybe more than me! Haha!
For Aayat, I was pretty sure actually - even though I was confused between Noor and Aayat - but Aayat! The name was so beautiful that it just melts in the mouth when you say it. I refrain from giving them any nicknames as I feel that tends to affect a kid's personality; so they are just Arhann and Aayat for me.
Also, to add to this I faced a lot of criticism, from literally everybody, for giving my kids these names that sound like Muslim names. People even said getting a passport would become an issue because of the sound of the names. Yeah? Can you believe it? Haha!
But well, well - I was too stuck up on these beautiful names for my beautiful kids. It's funny how we live in such a modern society now and how we are still caught up with such mere issues - like a Muslim name. Speaks quite a lot about our mindsets, huh?
It was obviously a challenge for me - first, in deciding the names, and then, fighting with the world to let me keep the names I chose! LOL! But I'm a fighter; did I not tell you that?
Now having these names personalized on this bottles by Baby Dove, I was so touched. I'm never throwing these away. Thank you Baby Dove India and World Of Moms! Lots of love to the team :)
